The success of the three summer concerts in Germany and Austria led to the planning of a major winter tour in Germany in the beginning of 2008. This tour, by far the longest and most successful in the history of the Tolkien Ensemble, went through 32 cities of Germany, including major cities like Berlin (two concerts in Friedrichstadtpalast), Hamburg, Hannover, Dresden (in the Philharmonie), Bremen and the wonderful and sold out final concert in Gewandhaus in Leipzig.
